To be Saved, Salvation Through Jesus

The word saved means to be delivered! 2 things you must do to become saved:
MARK 16:16 HE THAT BELIEVETH AND IS BAPTIZED SHALL BE SAVED; BUT HE THAT BELIEVETH
NOT SHALL BE DAMED.
So this means:
FIRST- You must realize that you are a sinner and that you need to verbally
accept Jesus into your heart and make him your savior! This is described in:
ROMANS 10:9 THAT IF THOU SHALT CONFESS WITH THY MOUTH THE LORD JESUS, AND
SHALT BELIEVE IN THINE HEART THAT GOD HATH RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, THOU
SHALT BE SAVED.
SECOND- You must be baptized! This is explained in:
ACTS 2:38 THEN PETER SAID UNTO THEM, REPENT,AND BE BAPTIZED EVERY ONE OF YOU IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST FOR THE REMISSION OF SINS, AND YE SHALL RECEIVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST.
Other important words:
REPENT- Means to turn your life around and live for christ, instead of your
old fleshly self.
BAPTIZED- When you get baptized, every sin you ever committed up to that point
is 100% washed away. Your spirit is pure to serve christ. The first of the two, which is verbally excepting christ, is explained in great detail in the book of romans. These 8 verses will show you why you need to be saved and how to get saved.
ROMANS 3:10 AS IT IS WRITTEN, THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NO, NOT ONE:
ROMANS 3:23 FOR ALL HAVE SINNED, AND COME SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD;
ROMANS 5:8 BUT GOD COMMENDETH HIS LOVE TOWARD US, IN THAT, WHILE WE WERE
YET SINNERS, CHRIST DIED FOR US.
ROMANS 5:12 WEREFORE, AS BY ONE MAN SIN ENTERED INTO THE WORLD, AND DEATH BY SIN; AND SO DEATH PASSED UPON ALL MEN, FOR THAT ALL HAVE SINNED:
ROMANS 7:23 FOR THE WAGES OF SIN IS DEATH; BUT THE GIFT OF GOD IS ETERNAL LIFE THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.
ROMANS 10:13 FOR WHOSOEVER SHALL CALL UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD SHALL BE SAVED.
ROMANS 10:9 THAT IF THOU SHALT CONFESS WITH THY MOUTH THE LORD JESUS, AND BELIEVE IN THINE HEART THAT GOD HATH RAISED HIM FROM THE DEAD, THOU SHALT BE SAVED.
ROMANS 10:10 FOR WITH THE HEART MAN BELIEVETH UNTO RIGHTEOUS; AND WITH THE MOUTH CONFESSION IS MADE UNTO SALVATION.
These 8 verses from Romans, are called the Romans road to salvation.
There must be a point in your life when you realize that you are a sinner and need to accept Jesus into your heart and live for him. Christ told Nicodemus you must be born again - John 3:1-8.
Christ said you must be born of water and of spirit.
Personal Comment:
HOW DO KNOW WHEN YOU ARE SAVED?
WHEN YOU LOVE WHAT YOU ONCE HATED, AND HATE WHAT YOU ONCE LOVED!
When you get saved you will no longer be interested in stuff like-
dirty jokes, smut mags., cussing, wrongful lust, etc
these are acts of the flesh- although they might seem fun
they are an abomination in the eyes of god! And god and evil cannot
dwell together. One has got to go! And that decision is up to you!
BELOW ARE A LIST OF THINGS YOU SHOULD TRY TO DO TO SERVE GOD!
Worship and obey jesus everyday
read the bible as much as possible
become involved in your church
put on the full armor of god- eph 6:10-20
rule hate out of your life, replace it with love and grace
constantly strive unto perfection in the lord
ask for forgiveness as soon as you commit a sin
do everything you possibly can, not to sin
when the lord talks to you- listen and obey
witness the word to the public- verbally and physically
everyday strive more and more to become holy
be not sad, but be happy when you give to the lord
There is a lot more to be added to this list, when you serve the lord he will show them to you. Remember the more you do for the lord, the more he will bless you! He will put peace in your heart that cannot be described in words! His peace will allow you to go through any bad situation without loosing hope!
